Aviko Rixona (Oostrum Limburg), shuts down production for a few weeks every year to carry out maintenance.
It is important that the entire wastewater biology outside the factory and the treatment plant can be properly stored. The water biology must remain alive in order to optimally resume the purification process immediately after maintenance.
This storage has been done for years in concrete caissons on the Aviko Rixona site, unfortunately people in the immediate area are bothered by the smell coming from this water. That is why Aviko Rixona and Albers Alligator have been looking for a solution to reduce the odor, with more than sufficient storage capacity and all on Aviko Rixona’s own premises.

Albers Alligator engineers have used the Closed Multi-F system as a basis and modified it in details to make it suitable and functioning for the concrete caissons with vertical walls that Aviko Rixona has. To everyone’s satisfaction, installation took place within the desired time and filling of the caissons could start well in time. The local residents can enjoy a beautiful summer in which the odour nuisance has been strongly reduced.
