Reinforcement was applied to this balloon, after which the concrete was sprayed. After curing, the balloon was simply removed, leaving the finished tunnel construction intact.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">This method offers significant advantages over traditional tunnel construction:<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">\u2705 Up to 50% less concrete consumption<br \/>\n\u2705 Up to 70% less steel usage<br \/>\n\u2705 Up to 60% less CO\u2082 emissions<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Moreover, the plastic balloon is reusable, contributing to a more sustainable construction method and cost savings for future projects.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">With this project, Albers Alligator demonstrates how smart applications of flexible constructions can contribute to innovative and
