Alligator SiloDome
High-performance cover system for steel water tanks
The Alligator SiloDome is a reliable cover system for water silos with a diameter of up to Ø 15.40 metres. The construction consists of a lightweight aluminium frame combined with a closed cover, allowing the system to be easily installed on both new and existing silos. The aluminium rafters are mounted on dedicated brackets at the silo rim, while a central aluminium column supports the middle of the structure. Thanks to its lightweight design, the load on the silo wall remains minimal. The cover is tensioned around the perimeter, ensuring a clean and wind-resistant finish.
With the introduction of the Silodome 1.1 and 2.1, the system has been further optimised for larger diameters and higher structural loads and is fully compliant with Eurocode 1.

The Alligator SiloDome is a smart and reliable solution for covering water silos up to Ø 15.40 metres. Thanks to the lightweight aluminium frame and its well-engineered design, the load on the silo wall remains minimal.
Each frame is custom-made for the specific silo. Depending on the diameter, reinforcement rings are applied to ensure optimal load distribution. The frame is supported by a central aluminium column and fitted with a closed, grey reinforced PVC membrane (±900 g/m²), which is tensioned firmly to ensure maximum stability. In addition, the SiloDome can be equipped with a manhole for easy access and maintenance.
